Our Principal is an Educator with over 19 years of experience. An educationist for whom
teaching has never been a profession but a matter of faith, pride and passion. She owes her
disciplined dedication to the profession, to her careful nurturing of her Armed Forces
background. A Colonel’s daughter married to an Army Officer has Discipline and
Dedication inherent in her genes. Most of her teaching experience has been with the Army
Public Schools and for the past three years is heading The Navyandhra School at Gurgaon.
Our Principal is a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology and holds a Masters in English
Literature and also has a degree in Bachelor of Education.
She feels that today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also
to motivate and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and
productive members of an ever-changing global society.
She believes that the role of the school is to work on the students to enable the posterity
to be intellectually sharp, mentally alert, physically sound and spiritually elevated in
order to ensure a peaceful co-existence. Gone are the days when emphasis was on gathering
information, mugging of things and filling up the answer sheets. However, today’s education
is about learning by doing, attitude development, cultivating life-skills, inculcating
values, contributing to the society we live in. Education today, is responsible for bringing
about a holistic development in our future generation.
The school is striving hard to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values
combining with academics and extra-curricular activities in children. Converting every
individual into a self-reliant and independent citizen, the school provides an amalgam of
scholastic and co-scholastic activities.
She feels proud to serve as Principal of The Navyandhra School. The school has about 550+
students and 45 faculty members. She plans, controls and directs the overall activities of
the school and also oversees staff recruitment, evaluation, student discipline, team
building and professional development of her team members. She ensures safe, respectful and
fair learning environment She says, “With our exceptional staff, it is a great place for
students to learn”.
Her profound management abilities and inter personal skills encourage her team members to
perform their best.
